People with disabilities face roadblocks every day. When they lean into their challenges, they develop resourcefulness and adaptability that people without disabilities could never gain. Their perseverance and resilience make them incredible assets to any team.

Because of this, hiring people with disabilities can be a huge differentiator for your business. They bring a different point of view. They can help you see around corners you didn’t even know were there. Product breakthroughs we all use every day like voice-to-text, audio books, closed captions, fidget spinners and even bendy straws were originally conceived by or for people with disabilities.

And yet, people with disabilities make up the most underemployed segment of the US workforce. This is an untapped resource that FoCo companies could turn into a HUGE competitive advantage.

So how do you make your business accessible so you can hire from this incredible talent pool?

In this panel discussion, Penn Street (vision impaired), Meryl Evans (deaf), and Derrick Kuhn (neurodivergent) will share about their experiences and help you find simple, inexpensive things you can do to ensure accessibility so that people with disabilities can bring their amazing talents to the table in your company. You’ll come away with a new perspective and a way to hire some of your best future employees.
